Level 1 Chargers plug into standard outlets and charge slowly—great for overnight top-ups. Typically 120V outlets. Can be run on existing circuits or new dedicated circuits. 

Level 2 Chargers use a 50A 240V circuit for 4–5x faster charging, ideal for daily commuters and families with multiple vehicles. NEMA 14-50R outlet is typical for this type of charger.

Pricing

With the rising cost of everything these days we understand that pricing is one of the biggest factors when it comes to hiring contractors. We’re not shy about pricing. Over the years we’ve found that most customers tend to want their EV chargers installed in garages and near the electrical panel. That makes things much easier for us and easier to give a set price on. 

Hard Wired Level 2 Charger – 50A 240V circuit wired from the panel to the charger installed directly adjacent to the panel  $499 plus tax and permit

EV Charger Outlet – 50A 240V EV rated NEMA 14-50R outlet installed directly below or adjacent to the panel. GFCI protection per code. $699 plus tax and permit

We typically install Eaton EV rated NEMA 14-50R outlets but can install the Hubbell if desired. Outlets and chargers installed further from the panel will require a site visit to provide an estimate. Estimates are free.

He installed a 240V/30A line from my panel to a grinder pump alarm box through my attic to outside and provided a quick disconnect switch. He connected the wires inside the alarm panel and sealed up the line going into the panel. He ran the prefab line control to the sewer grinder pump container through conduit and sealed up all the joints. L&I inspection passed quickly and without any rework. It’s rare to find someone this reliable, responsive, and detail-oriented. I’d highly recommend Tony and Good Electric to anyone needing electrical work done.
